Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi()

Today, we pick the clients up at Noibai International airport (33km, 01hour drive) to the hotel. Time at leisure. O/N in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi – Ha Tay - Hoa Binh (B, )

Breakfast at hotel then leave Hanoi for Hoa Binh (75km) via Thanh Oai District. Walk (2km) along a dike embankment to Chuong conical hat fair villages. Onwards to Hoa Binh Town. Take an afternoon boat ride on the Da River to visit lakeside villages of the Yao and Muong tribes. The evening entertainment is a tribal folk show. O/N in Hoa Binh.

Day 3: Hoa Binh – Ninh Binh (B)

Breakfast at hotel then leave Hoa Binh for Ninh Binh (130km) by car where the clients will visit the Dinh & Le dynasty temples in Hoa Lu, an ancient capital of Vietnam (968 – 1009), and Phat Diem Cathedral, a combination of Vietnamese pagoda and Gothic church architectural styles in the afternoon. O/N in Ninh Binh

Day 4: Ninh Binh – Hai Phong (B)

Breakfast at hotel, this morning, drive to the whaf(10km) where the clients will take a sampan ride to Tam Coc, known as Vietnam’s “Halong Bay on land”. Then onwards to the Bich Dong cave pagodas dating from the 17th century. In the afternoon, drive through the Red River Delta to Hai Phong (135km) and stop over at Tuc Mac Temple and Pho Minh Pagoda in Nam Dinh, the native land of the Tran Dynasty (1225 –1400). O/N in Hai Phong.

Day 5: Hai Phong – Cat Ba island (B, )

Breakfast at hotel, this morning, drive to Haiphong harbour to take a highspeed boat to Cat ba island(2hours). Pick up at Beo pier to the hotel for check –in. In the afternnon, drive to Cat ba national park where go trekking around 2hours. Retun to the hotel, this time is free to enjoy seabath at Cat Co and Cat Tien beach.
O/N in Cat Ba island.

Day 6: Cat Ba- Halong Bay (B)

Breakfast at hotel, today, the client will take a boat to Halong Bay (6hours) Lunch with seafood served on Boat. Explore Halong Bay’s magic caves and limestone formations. The cruise ends at sunset, a spectacular view in Halong Bay. O/N in Halong.

Day 7: Halong – Hanoi (B)

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to Hanoi (175km). One Stop on the way, around 20mins. Proceed to hotel in Hanoi, check in. In the afternoon, discover Hanoi city tour: Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, one pillar pagoda, the temple of lieterature, Hoan Kiem Lake Ngoc Son temple then enjoy water puppet show nearby. This is the last day in Hanoi so we will serve Vietnamese buffet dinner

Day 8: Departure from Hanoi (B)

Spend last minutes for downtown shopping (ceramics, silver-carvings, silk) at the Old quarter of Hnaoi or at leisure before check-out. Transfer to the airport for departure.

To wear
  • Throughout the year, it is advisable to wear summer clothing: thin clothes in light colour. In December and January, warm clothes are recommended for visits to the northern provinces.
  • It is advisable to bring umbrellas or raincoats in the rainy season from May to November in southern and northern Vietnam, from August to January in central Vietnam.
  • The wearing of suits for business is now common in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Dress should be respectable, especially if entering religious premises such as temples and pagodas.
Security
  • In big cities, do not bring along valuables as going shopping or sightseeing in the street.
  • It is dispensable to give alms to beggars and to buy souvenirs from street vendors.
  • Foreign currencies should be exchanged at banks or authorized exchange bureaus. Do not exchange money in the street.
It is advisable not to ride on pedicabs or “honda-om” by oneself!
